???
Dont get me wrong. I love Mumbai. Though I am not a mumbaikar or a maharashtrian (I belong to a land called the Mallu-land, whose people are there everywhere), but Mumbai has created quite an awesome array of personalities. But the recent run of events bemuse me and even make me a bit sad.
A certain “Mumbai Indian” has been in the news for all the !@#$% reasons that the name of the IPL team from the city strikes me as very oxymoronic. His antics has tainted the name of the most vibrant city so much so that I dread going to mumbai next month, even though I am not a “north-indian”.
As if our country didn’t have enough troubles, here’s someone trying to divide people by geography and the team from his city is claiming to represent the nation (at least in name). What should I say
Forget Mumbai Indians. In Bangalore it is no less. Every other day I see hatred in the eyes of people here. You have to be a Malayali or a Telugu or a Tamil or a Kannadiga. Other than that it does not matter.
Every other person from any where in India is from Hindi and they are to be hated. That is the policy. Time will come and people who have come here (non Hindi speaking – Punjabi or Himachali or Bengali or Oriya or Rajasthani or Gujurati or Marathi or Konkani or ….), every one of them I meet they have the same impression.
How wrong was I when I was used to treat well people from down here in college (it was a great mixture and was eclectic)? No where I have seen this much hatred as I see in south india and I have been across 80% of India and over 3 continents.
You are moron.. You have no idea what you are talking about… I dont have time to go into all the reasons, suffice to say you dont understand what Raj is complaining about.
In anycase, if you dont like it, you can go back to Kerala… please do it..
@Theenticer – You are entitled to your view and I to mine. Anyway very curious, would like to know what he is trying to say and how the violence helped in getting the message across? Earnestly!
